Rockstar has announced that Red Dead Online will be getting a new game mode along with a variety of other Halloween themed spooky goodies for players. While the new Dead of Night game mode isn't quite a new Undead Nightmare, it does still feature some supernatural abilities to truly make players feel like they're celebrating Halloween in the Red Dead world.
The brand new mode Dead of Night basically pits four teams against one another in a fight for survival. But these four teams aren't just against each other, but also are fighting against The Dead. In order to score points in this game mode players will have to take out The Dead, but they can also score even higher points for taking out any rival players.

To give some players the upper hand they can find and steal the Night Stalker mask, which will give them all kinds of supernatural abilities to use against their opponents. If you complete a Round of Dead of Night anytime over the next seven days you'll earn triple the usual payout. Along with that, you'll also get a care package consisting of 3 Tomahawks, 10 Volatile Fire bottles and 25 Incendiary Buckshot Slugs.
On top of the new game mode there's also some legendary panthers hiding in the local swamps for players to find, a new Halloween Pass that has 20 ranks of rewards, new unlockable garment sets and much more. There's also a plethora of discounts and additional rewards to further celebrate this spooky Halloween season.
All of these new items, game modes and special rewards will be available from this week in Red Dead Online on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
