As I'm sure you've probably heard by now, Twitch has been compromised in a big way.

Yesterday morning, reports surfaced that an anonymous hacker had dumped a massive torrent containing tons of sensitive Twitch information. Source code, creator payout reports, and so much more soon began to circulate online.

It wasn't until hours later that Twitch finally responded to the reports. The Amazon-owned platform confirmed that a "breach had taken place" and that it was "working to understand the extent" of the issue.

One of the most talked-about aspect of the leaks, at least so far, is the list doing the rounds that appears to show just how much some of the platform's top streamers make. Naturally, it wasn't long before many of the streamers affected shared their thoughts on the situation. In short, nobody seems too bothered so far, although it has been pointed out that's likely because how much Twitch streamers make from the platform is information that was always accessible.

Imane 'Pokimane' Anys was one of the first to comment on the leaked earnings by reminding fans that she capped donations last year because she feels she already makes enough from paid partnerships and other sources at this point.

"At least people can't over-exaggerate me 'making millions a month off my viewers' anymore," she joked. "Capped my donations a year ago since I'm now at a point where sponsors, investments, and exclusive contracts can sustain me. transparently, subs + stream ads are the lowest part of my income and i want you guys to continue keeping that money in your pocket. TREAT YOURSELVES."

At the time of writing, Twitch has yet to update us on what exactly happened or the full extent of the hack. What we do know is that the person claiming responsibility has threatened to dump more information soon.
