It looks as if Grand Theft Auto VI will absolutely feature female lead in a modern-day version of Vice City, according to a prominent leaker that has since been backed by multiple sources.
GTA VI rumours are everywhere, and most should be taken with a pinch of salt, but proven insider Tom Henderson seems to have hit the jackpot. Henderson, you may remember, was the leaker who provided a ton of info on Battlefield 2042 months before it was confirmed. Most recently, he's been making a number of claims about GTA VI, including a 2025 release date, constantly evolving open-world, and a female protagonist.

Henderson enjoys teasing viewers and followers with drawings that better visualize the information he's obtained, and his latest work is our first real (sort of) look at GTA 6. In a recent video, Henderson released a time-lapse drawing of a woman holding an AK-47, stood in front of a sports car and surrounded by palm trees. A man in a high-tech military jetpack hovers behind her, while military jets fly overhead.
Anyone who paid attention to last week's leaks already knew what this sketch was in reference to, but Henderson ended the video by renaming it "Drawing GTA VI", just to avoid any doubt. It's unclear how accurate of a "first-look" this is, given that GTA VI is still very early on in development, but all of Henderson's Battlefield 2042 sketches proved to be entirely accurate teasers. It could be that this is based on some early concept art that Henderson has seen, or it could simply be his interpretation of the information he was given by his source.
It's certainly exciting - and about damn time - to finally see a female hero at the forefront of Rockstar's massively popular franchise. Henderson also believes that this mystery lady will be joined by one or two other protagonists, in the style of GTA V. Any official news on the hotly-antipcated sequel will likely be a long old way off, so sit tight and watch this space.
