The internet can be cursed, but it can also be a truly heartwarming place. In recent days, one Reddit user offered to play video games with anyone who was struggling or feeling alone, garnering thousands of responses.

See, video games aren’t just fun. They have a whole host of positive benefits. Studies have shown that video games can be hugely beneficial to your mental health. Perhaps they calm you or allow you to destress. Gaming can also be very social though. Whether you play with friends or with strangers online, connection is important and gaming can be a huge part of achieving that. In fact, this particular gamer took matters into their own hands. The mission: to help others feel less alone.

Crash Team Rumble is just one upcoming game you can enjoy with others.

User deangelojuggling wrote, “Weird post but if any of y’all are feeling alone or it feels weird making friends, feel free to add me and we can play something. We don't gotta talk or be friends. We can laugh and be best friends. I play all games and am willing to download a few games. Offer expires never, just PM me.”

The post garnered a whopping 14,000 upvotes. Squarehead89 said, “That’s a nice gesture bro. Go you,” while CarnageCrisis added, “Offer never expires? I’ll contact you later once I get some things set up, which is going to be a while. Keep it up boss.” Siestadilla commented, “Hey, I want you to know that this is very sweet. Whoever you are, keep being you.”

Joeyo1423 added, “Good stuff man! Gaming is so much fun when you have a few gaming buddies to jam with from time to time.” That is certainly true. I enjoyed a couple of hours of Fortnite with my pals last night and a jolly time was indeed had. If you do want to play with the original poster, they have a PC and PS5.

They certainly didn’t expect this many responses, later saying, “I didn’t expect so many. If you have a game, I will gladly play it with you 100%. Offer never expires. I play a lot.” What a top, top person.
