Fortnite is no stranger to an unexpected collaboration, but an upcoming one may be one of the most unexpected yet.
For those of you who didn’t watch The Office, the US version, you may be wondering why Fortnite recently took to social media with a picture of a beetroot.
Those in the know, however, will be very familiar with what that image is referring to.
Yes, the employees of Dunder Mifflin are seemingly making their way over into Epic Games’ hugely successful battle royale in some shape or form.

At the time of writing, Fortnite hasn’t detailed the full nature of the collaboration, but insiders claim to know a tad more about what’s coming.
Twitter/X user AdiraFNInfo claims Michael and Dwight skins are on the way, and I’m imagining we’ll get a backbling, pickaxe, and emote alongside those.
Michael was, of course, so iconicly brought to life by Steve Carell whilst Rainn Wilson portrayed Dwight Schrute.

It remains to be seen whether this is purely an aesthetic collaboration or whether we’ll actually get any nods or items added to the map and loot pool.
I personally think we will. That beetroot posted by the account sure does look like a consumable item to me.
Wondering how this relates to the show? Dwight resides on Schrute Farms which, you guessed it, produces beets.

Is it wild to say maybe that’ll appear as a new location on the island?
I’m wholly unsurprised to see that Fortnite players are looking forward to this collab.
“OH MY GOSH IT’S HAPPENING,” said HappyHappyGalTV.
“No way,” added CafeCasinoLV.
“Gotta love it,” remarked Nir7ann, whilst SnownymousFN wrote, “I now understand when someone's fav IP comes to Fortnite. I cannot be more hyped for this.”
Chapter 7, Season 1 Is Only Halfway Done
It feels like Chapter 7, Season 1 has been around a good while, but Pacific Break is actually only around halfway done.
The season is due to end on Wednesday 4 March which is when it's assumed Season 2 will kick off.
Given that we’ve got so much content left to land this season, it’s hard to say exactly where the next one will take us.
Still, I have faith it’ll be something special. Fortnite has been killing it as of late. I’m certainly not ready yet to say goodbye to this version of the map.
For the remainder of the season, you will find me as Dwight hitting the griddy at every given opportunity.
Actually, no. Who am I kidding? I can’t bring myself to retire the Sabrina Carpenter skin guys. It’s just too good.
