In recent months, the hit battle-royale title Fortnite has gone from strength to strength thanks to the success of its The Simpsons collaboration and its more recent team-up with Quentin Tarantino himself, giving us the Kill Bill content we have been waiting for for years.

Not only that but with the recent news that Riot Games is set to return the beloved Battle Bus after it was removed in Fortnite’s Chapter Seven, the future of the highly successful title seems to be in good hands.

What is next for Fortnite has not yet been officially confirmed but with rumours that our favourite characters from the Harry Potter franchise may be making an appearance, that could be an excellent way to close out the year.

However, another rumour sheds some light on another possible feature.

Epic Games

According to well-known Fortnite insider HYPEX, Epic Games is reportedly planning on adding 5-player squads to the game.

Known as Quints, these five-player teams will become the maximum number of players which can enter the fray together.

Up until now, four players has been the maximum. However, players can go in solo, or with a duo or trio if they prefer.

Put simply, if you are somebody with a lot of friends, you are in luck.

However, five is just a very odd number we cannot ignore.

Players Are Making More Friends as we Speak

Nevertheless, following the news, Fortnite fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on the rumoured squad-increase.

“Fortnite really said 'five man chaos squad', let’s ruin friendships faster,” one comment read.

“Five player squads is about to be wild. Hope they drop that mode soon,” another added.

On the other hand, I can relate to another player who wrote, “I don't have enough friends for this.”

At least you do not have to drop with four other people and will still have the option to go in with a limited team.

Every cloud and all that.

This is just one of many changes coming to Fortnite in recent months and really does prove why the Epic Games title has cemented itself as one of the most popular video games of all time for both younger and older audiences alike.

Thanks to regular content updates, new features and community support, if there is one shooter which is set to have longevity for years to come, it is Fortnite.
