After what feels like a lifetime, and after a lot of fan outrage, one of Fortnite’s beloved features is back after being removed during its recent Chapter.
With the arrival of Fortnite Chapter Seven, fans sat down to boot up their game, load into a match and discover that the infamous Battle Bus had been removed.
Instead, players were expected to surf into the game on a map-wide tsunami which some reporters even stopped some areas from being accessible.
Since Fortnite launched back in 2017, it arrived alongside the Battle Bus which allowed players to travel in at the start of a match before jumping out (after thanking the driver) and heading to your desired location on the map.

So as you can imagine, discovering that it was missing was quite a shock to those who embarked on the latest Chapter of Fortnite.

“Fortnite Chapter 7 took away the Battle Bus and I’m way more heartbroken than I expected,” one user recently posted over on r/FortNiteBR.
“So I logged in today ready to grind Chapter 7 like usual,” they continued.
“New map, new loot pool, new everything. I was hyped. Then the loading screen hits and something feels off. I drop into the match and suddenly it hits me like a pump to the face.
"The Battle Bus is gone. The one constant. The icon. The ritual. The thing that unified sweaty players, casuals, trolls, quest grinders, and the guy who lands in the middle of nowhere every match. Gone.”

Battle Bus Return
This sentiment was shared with millions of other players so it is perhaps no surprise that Epic Games have given the fans what they want:
The return of the Battle Bus.
Although not officially shared by Epic Games just yet, many insiders and players alike have reported its return.
However, there is a catch.
Said insiders and players have revealed that the Battle Bus now only has a 80 percent spawn chance so you may indeed miss out on riding on the iconic vehicle.
Instead, you can use the previously mentioned surfboard ability and ride the tsunami onto the map.
It is unclear why this twist has been implemented but it will definitely make it all the more exciting to load in to a game with the Battle Bus dropping you off. And we're sure newer perks of either modes will be found in time.
So there you have it, complaining does indeed sometimes work! Who knew?
