Far Cry 7 Reportedly Surfaces Online, Teases Unlikely Setting

At this point, what don't we know about this game?

New info regarding Ubisoft’s next Far Cry game has, once again, leaked online, including details regarding its “Extraction Mode” and a whole bunch of screenshots.

At this point, Ubisoft may as well just release a half-finished trailer for Far Cry 7 and call it a day, because I don’t think I’ve ever seen more information about a game leak before it’s even been officially announced.

In fact, Ubisoft’s own CEO, Yves Guillemot, even spoke about Far Cry 7’s multiplayer offerings back in September at the Saudi Arabia’s New Global Sport Conference, which technically serves as a leak in itself, considering that Ubisoft hasn’t even given the game a proper title yet.

If you’re curious as to exactly how much we already know about the game, I’d highly suggest checking out Insider Gaming’s report on “Project Blackbird” and Far Cry 7 (mostly because there’s simply too much to sum up in a single article). However, if you’re up to date, here’s what the newest leak says.

As spotted by users over on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, leaker @AgaiinTx has been dropping a bunch of info and screenshots about Far Cry 7 over on Twitter.

However, the Twitter post they’re using as a source has mysteriously vanished from the internet. Hard to tell if it’s been deleted willingly or if it’s been removed by way of a copyright strike, but links to the images that @AgaiinTx do remain online.

Obviously, I can’t share these images with you directly, so you’ll have to seek them out for yourself. I can, however, share @AgaiinTx’s other post, which features info about Far Cry 7’s “Extraction Mode” and its Alaska setting.

So, how likely is it that this leak is actually legit? Personally, I would say there is a very solid chance.

The leaker in question has a pretty good track record, having previously leaked a bunch of info about Ubisoft’s now delisted free-to-play shooter XDefiant. Plus, the images they shared do look far too professional to be fake, so I highly doubt that someone has mocked these up for a laugh.

Also, considering all the other info that’s leaked about Far Cry 7 already, it is clear that Ubisoft is having an issue keeping the lid on about the game.

Nonetheless, it is slowly building the hype for the game which must be reassuring for the powers at be that people want what they're working on.
