Far Cry 6 already being sold for $5 in charity shop

Far Cry 6 already being sold for $5 in charity shop

Least the game is doing its bit to make life a little better for those in need.

That's awkward timing. Only days after we discovered that there's a Game of the Year Edition for Far Cry 6, in spite of the fact that it won no Game of the Year awards, the game is now being sold in Goodwill for $5.

Yes, it is slightly funny, but you've got to admire the gumption of the Far Cry team. No one thought that their game was deserving of a Game of the Year award but by Jove, they were proud of their efforts and they wouldn't let the sparks of Far Cry 6 be extinguished by the passing of time. It's a bit like dressing up for a night out where you expected to see the person you fancied, but they couldn't make it, so you're sure to add every single thing to your Instagram story because you looked fire anyway and it'd be a crime to let that outfit go to waste.

If you were on the fence about Far Cry 6 and that low, low price tag of $5 has turned your head, here's some gameplay to whet your appetite:

Spotted by Reddit user herkyjerkyperky in their local Goodwill, there are 19 copies of Far Cry 6 on Playstation 4 and one copy of the game for the PS5 on sale on this shelf and apparently there are more elsewhere in the shop. Personally, I think it's wild that there's this many. The games are ensconced in the standard charity shop game lineup like Wii Fit, Madden 19, Rocksmith and Burnout Paradise, so it's incredible that there are more out of frame and they've all ended up in the same shop.

It's possible that the staff at the Goodwill don't know that this is the most recent Far Cry and should probably be priced a little higher. Either way, the game is at least doing its bit to contribute to troublesome times, so this is hardly an unhappy ending for Far Cry 6.
