A new Fallout: New Vegas mod adds a sequel to a rather memorable side quest from Fallout 3.

With us now a few weeks into Amazon’s Fallout TV series, it’s probably the right time to be dipping back into the franchise, whether that be Fallout 4, Fallout 76, or Fallout: New Vegas.

But for as much as I love New Vegas, it’s the side quests from Fallout 3 that I find myself constantly thinking about whenever I pick the game up again.

One such quest is Those!, a side quest you can get quite early on in the game that involves you clearing an abandoned town that has been taken over by giant fire-breathing ants.

Since the quest appears so early on in Fallout 3, it tends to be one that a lot of players will remember quite clearly.

It’s a great introduction to the rather whacky antics that each Fallout 3 quest introduces, and you’ll likely run into it on your way to completing the first main quest once you’ve left Vault 101.

This is why Those! tends to be one of the side quests a lot of players will refer to when discussing the best side quests in Fallout 3.

Those! From Fallout 3 Now Has A Sequel In New Vegas

It turns out that one Fallout modder in particular liked the quest so much, they decided to develop a sequel to it in Fallout: New Vegas.

Those – Part II is a quest that’s just appeared on Nexus Mods that acts as a sequel to the Fallout 3 quest, where you must clear out an area of giant ants for the NCR.

“Secretary Cheryl Putz has a pest problem; only you can help her out,” reads the mod description, not really giving much else away.

To begin the quest, you need to head to the Mojave Outpost HQ, located in the southwest portion of the New Vegas map. Go to the building Major Knight is in, and find a character called Cheryl Putz. She’ll give you the quest, where it’ll proceed from there.

In addition to being on good terms with the NCR, mod author potatohedgehog97 also recommends that you bring along some companions with you, as well as antivenom and weapons that are able to punch through Damage Threshold (DT).

You can download Those – Part II now from the Fallout: New Vegas page on Nexus Mods.
