The wait for Fallout 5 continues but with the Bethesda series going from strength to strength thanks to the hit Amazon TV adaptation and regular Fallout 76 updates, it is not all bad.
With Bethesda taking its time with the development of the fifth entry in the Fallout franchise, fans are still finding ways to pass the time in their favourite nuclear wastelands.
Luckily, the second series of Amazon Prime’s Fallout is scheduled to air this December and before then, Fallout 76 players are in for a treat as one beloved live-action character makes his way to the hit RPG.
This December, Fallout 76 will be welcoming a major update and expansion titled Fallout 76: Burning Shores.

Not only will this be the first major update since 2020’s Wastelanders expansion, it will also give the television show fans the incentive to check out one of Bethesda’s beloved Fallout titles.
Set in a post-apocalyptic Ohio courtesy of a brand-new region, Fallout 76: Burning Shores will also star none other than Walton Goggins himself as The Ghoul.
After becoming such a beloved character in Fallout, it is perhaps no surprise that he is now making his way to the world which inspired it and fans will be able to hear his soothing tones in the highly-anticipated expansion.
Not only that but the new map will offer players the chance to explore a “war-torn desert landscape” full of Raiders and Deathclaws alike.

There will also be new quests, factions and activities which will even include the addition of fishing.
The Ghoul will be an interactable character and will become a key role in the brand-new Bounty Hunting missions.
Players will be sent across the new map in order to complete bounties in exchange for rewards, with one reward including none other than The Ghoul’s iconic weapon seen in the TV show.
Last but certainly not least, the Fallout 76: Burning Shores expansion will be free to download for all those who already own the base game.

Alongside the new events, locations, C.A.M.P items and enemies, players will also come face-to-face with a brand-new Super Mutant known as the Rust King. Luckily, he’s a lot smarter than our previous encounters.
Long-term fans of Fallout will also appreciate the wastelands of Ohio with much of the new scenery taking inspiration from Fallout: New Vegas’ war-torn desert landscapes.
So if you want to boot up Fallout 76 this December alongside season two of Fallout, the Burning Shores expansion is the perfect opportunity to do so.
