Fallout Shelter is in the midst of celebrating its 10th anniversary.
It was on 14 June all the way back in 2015 that the game originally launched - and using the phrase “all the way back in 2015” has deeply upset me. That was a couple of years ago, right?!
As I’m sure you’re aware, the spin-off title is a free-to-play construction and management sim, allowing you to build and run your own vault.

I have to say, it’s heaps of fun. I was recently drawn back into Fallout Shelter when season one of Prime Video’s Fallout TV show dropped, and I forgot how incredibly moreish it is.
I will admit that I’ve perhaps abandoned it since but hey listen, I’m a busy gal.
I may have just discovered the motivation I need to hop back in though, as Bethesda has announced a string of freebies in celebration of the game’s milestone anniversary.
If you log into the game from 16 to 21 June, you’ll unlock some ‘party favours’.

You’ll need to act quickly but until the end of today, 17 June, you can secure two lunchboxes, one pet carrier, and 10 Nuka.
Log in from 18 to 19 June and you’ll bag three lunchboxes, one Mr. Handy, and 15 Nuka.
Finally, from 20 to 21 June, logging in will qualify you to receive five lunchboxes, one pet carrier, and 20 Nuka.
There’s also a special offer currently running where you can get up to 70% off lunchboxes right now via the in-game store.

Again, you’ll have to act quickly as that offer expires today, 17 June.
As for when the game’s next hefty update arrives, we’re in the dark on that front.
Last year, Fallout Shelter welcomed tons of new content; Fallout’s Lucy and Ghoul joined the title as unlockable vault dwellers, arriving alongside eight new quests and locations, as well as new themes, weapons, and outfits inspired by the show.
Season two of Fallout is arriving this coming December, so perhaps we’ll see some additional content added to Fallout Shelter inspired by this.

Wouldn’t that be perfect, just in time for Christmas?
