Fallout 4 players discover loading screen trick we all missed

We’re just one day away from Bethesda’s first Fallout Day, but don’t expect much beyond updates on what’s next for Fallout 76.

As great as it would be to receive news on the franchise’s future, that doesn’t appear to be on the cards.

“Join us for the Fallout Day Broadcast on October 23 at 3 PM ET to get a look at what's coming in the next major updates to Fallout 76 and enjoy the @FalloutForHope Community Parade post-show,” a tweet read.

“And yes, there will be some Ghoul talk,” it added.

Don’t forget that it was previously teased that Fallout 76 players will soon be able to play as ghouls for the first time.

What we shouldn’t expect to hear about tomorrow is Fallout 5, a game that remains many years away from release.

Fallout 5 won’t enter full development until after The Elder Scrolls VI’s release and that itself is years away.

Take a look at The Elder Scrolls VI original reveal trailer from back in 2018.

With that in mind, I suppose it’s a good thing that Fallout 76 is being constantly updated.

Of course, we can always return to Fallout 4 too for yet another playthrough.

While there’s not much in the way of new content in that title beyond this year’s new-gen update, players are constantly stumbling across unseen Easter eggs and features.

In the latest instance, one player has found a unique little feature hiding in the game’s loading screen.

“I just found out that hitting ‘X’ (Xbox controller) during Fallout 4 loading screens does this,” wrote 5xad0w, showing a gun switching between a regular view and an x-ray style view.

“Oh wow, I didn’t know this,” responded Novel-Case7987.

“Whatever colour you have your Pip-boy HUD, it turns that colour as well!,” added an in-the-know technical-Guests.

There you have it, something else for you to give a whirl.
