Fallout 4 gets enormous New Vegas map expansion

I don’t know about you but as much as I loved Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas just pipped the post as my favourite in the long-running series. Whereas combining the two games will never be officially possible, one modder has done the impossible by incorporating the New Vegas map into Fallout 4.

Nobody works harder than the Fallout modding community by giving players the chance to experience the game in Miami, revisit Fallout and even end Fallout 4 in the first five minutes. Not to leave any stone unturned, one modder has decided to make the ultimate Fallout game by combining Fallout: New Vegas’ map with Fallout 4.

Check out the Fallout: New Vegas ultimate edition trailer below!

Titled ‘FNV to FO4’, the mod will “convert models and plugins made for Fallout 3/Fallout: New Vegas to Fallout 4.” This means all objects and worldspace will be converted but will exclude NPCs, equipable armour and weapons, quests and scripts. Put simply, the game will give you the appearance of New Vegas but with the Fallout 4 story remaining intact. All you have to do to be able to install it is own all the mentioned Bethesda games.

With the Mojave Wasteland now available to explore within the most recent Fallout entry, fans are desperate to get back into what has been considered the best instalment in the long-running series. Although you will only be able to explore the map rather than interact with it, players can still remain hopeful as the mod’s creator has suggested these improvements could be added in the future.

In bad news, the mod is only available on PC so console users will not be able to experience Fallout: New Vegas with all the polish of Fallout 4. However, with rumours that Fallout 5 may not be arriving until at least 2030, we will take whatever we can get.
