Herschel ‘Dr DisRespect’ Beahm, one of YouTube’s leading Call of Duty streamers has found himself in a spot of bother. The internet personality was suddenly banned from YouTube on 5 June, leaving many fans wondering what exactly the streamer had done.
It’s been quite the eventful year for Dr DisRespect. Last August, Beahm co-founded his own game studio, Midnight Society, announcing that the studio’s first game would be the vertical extraction shooter Deadrop. Beahm even went as far as saying that the game would rival Call of Duty yet earlier this year, pre-alpha testers labelled it an utterly “miserable experience”. More recently, The Doc broke character after losing money to a fan during a PGA Tour 2K23 stream. The drama doesn’t end there though, as the streamer was banned from YouTube in recent days.

It’s not the first time that The Doc has faced a ban. The streamer originally called Twitch his home. He later moved over to YouTube after he was permanently banned from Twitch. The reasons behind that ban remain a mystery, but we do have some idea of why it happened this time around. As reported by Dexerto, The Doc had tuned into Apple’s WDCC event but in streaming the event, he accidentally streamed copyrighted content.
The Doc’s stream soon ended, as the message “Stream suspended for Policy Violations” appeared on the screen. Thankfully for fans, the ban didn’t last long and the stream soon got back up and running. Needless to say, the streamer didn’t attempt to continue watching the WDCC event in front of his followers.
After the ban, he said, “What? I guess we can’t watch the Apple event, or what? Is that the issue? I just wanna see this headset, man. Give me back my son! You can’t stop the Doc.” You certainly can’t.
