Dr Disrespect Blasts YouTube Gaming In Public Falling Out

Popular streamer Dr Disrespect, who was previously banned from Twitch, has called out YouTube Gaming for not supporting him enough.

So, Herschel ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm has been quite loud on the internet as of late. As well as annoying every FromSoftware fan by slating Elden Ring as a 6/10 after just a week of playing it (although he has reconsidered this since), earlier this month, he also revealed that he’s finally settled his legal dispute with Twitch.

Confused? Let me bring you up to speed. The streamer was permanently banned from the Amazon-owned platform back in June 2020, and no one was exactly sure why. However, in August last year, he claimed that he knew the reason, and he’d be suing Twitch because of it.

While you're here, be sure to check out some of our favourite livestream wins and fails below.

“I can't talk about it, but a lot of people ask me, 'do you know the reason?' Yeah, I do know the reason why now," the streamer said at the time. “I've known for months now the reason why and I'll just say this right now champs, 'there's a reason why we're suing the f**k out of them.' I don't know how else to put it. The amount of damages and you just don't - nah, no, no.”

Considering how angry he seemed about it at the time, it came as quite a surprise when on 10 March, he tweeted: “I have resolved my legal dispute with Twitch. No party admits to any wrongdoing.” With that, you’d think that his drama with streaming services would be over. No. No, it’s not.

“When you put @YouTubeGaming streaming on the map yet they don’t even follow you, tweet about you, mention you etc,” he tweeted. “I mean, seriously just stop and think about it for a second. We really are on another level baby.”

So yeah, now he’s throwing shade at the platform he moved to after his Twitch ban. It’s not known exactly what brought this on, and YouTube Gaming didn’t respond to his tweet, which I guess kind of proves his point? It does all seem a bit silly, to be honest. If he does break ties with YouTube though, who knows where he’ll go next - after posting about settling his legal dispute, the streamer said fans “shouldn't hold their breath” for him to return to Twitch. No doubt he won’t disappear from the internet that easily, though.
