As I'm sure you probably remember, Herschel ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm was permanently banned from Twitch back in June 2020.

For the last two years, it's remained unclear as to what exactly Beahm might have done that caused Twitch to finally pull the trigger. This, in turn, has led to plenty of speculation on the part of viewers.

In the time since his Twitch ban, Beahm has managed to build a successful career for himself on YouTube, and has mostly moved on from Twitch. But back in August 2021 he revealed that he knew why he'd been banned, and that he was going to be suing Twitch as a result.

"I can't talk about it, but a lot of people ask me, 'do you know the reason?' Yeah, I do know the reason why now," the streamer said at the time. "I've known for months now the reason why and I'll just say this right now champs, 'there's a reason why we're suing the f**k out of them.' I don't know how else to put it. The amount of damages and you just don't - nah, no, no."

It seems time really does heal all wounds, however. As of yesterday, the YouTuber confirmed that he had settled his legal dispute which Twitch and is ready to draw a line under the whole thing for good.

On March 10, Beahm tweeted: “I have resolved my legal dispute with Twitch. No party admits to any wrongdoing.”

Maddeningly, this may well mean we never learn exactly why Beahm was banned in the first place. I'd certainly assume that one of the conditions of this settlement is that Beahm never publicly speak about the details of the ban, but that's pure speculation on my part.

When asked if he'll return to Twitch now that things appeared to have been resolved (at least in a legal sense), Beahm told fans they shouldn't hold their breath.
