It's just a hunch, but I suspect that Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is going to get seriously weird.
The upcoming MCU sequel will see Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) team up with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) as they explore a fractured multiverse of possibilities. Loki teased the multiverse, and Spider-Man: No Way Home opened the door, but this time? This time we're being thrown in at the deep end.
Take a look at the trailer below!
What's really quite fascinating about Multiverse Of Madness is that every outlandish cameo rumoured to feature in the movie could very well end up being true. Honestly, after the events of No Way Home, I'm fully prepared to believe Ben Affleck could pop up as Daredevil. But that's not why we're here today.
While there is a lot of chatter on the internet about potential cameos and fan-pleasing appearances, there's only one so far that has any actual weight attached to it.
Mariana Torres, the Portuguese voice actor who dubs Scarlet Witch in the MCU, recently shared an Instagram post will fellow actor Manolo Rey with the (translated) caption "good things are coming!"
Why is this important? Well, it just so happens Rey has long been the VO actor for none other than Tobey Maguire. Naturally, this heavily implies that the original big screen Spider-Man will be returning once again after only just coming back to us in last year's No Way Home. We're being spoiled, we really are.
It's worth pointing out that Rey previously teased his involvement in No Way Home long before anyone actually knew Tobey Maguire would be returning as Peter Parker, and it looks as if we may be seeing a similar thing happening once again. Given that Sam Raimi, who directed Maguire as Spidey back in the day, is the one helming Multiverse Of Madness, we can totally see the two teaming up again for one last spidery adventure.
