Cyberpunk 2, or Project Orion as it is also known, has been in active development since 2024 and as a result, CD Projekt RED are still seemingly on the search for extra members to add to its team.

At least that is what some newly discovered job listings tell us.

Check out the next-gen update launch trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 below!

Cyberpunk 2077 was first released back in 2020, and despite a less-than-smooth launch, it has redeemed itself and is now widely regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time.

As a result, it is no surprise that fans are eager for Cyberpunk 2 to be released, even if it means waiting a few years.

Although, how do you improve on greatness?

Well, according to a newly unearthed job listing, it seems as though Project Orion may feature a multiplayer mode which is something its predecessor did not have.

Despite the fact that CD Projekt RED recently added 20 new developers to work on the sequel, it seems as though it is still hiring as the job posting asks for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to work on Cyberpunk 2.

Although the listing seems pretty self-explanatory at first, reading more into the requirements will see that the team is looking for the new developer to be able to build and maintain gameplay systems that can work both in single-player and multiplayer.

Not only that but previous job listings have also been on the hunt for devs with multiplayer experience so it is pretty clear that a co-op mode will exist somewhere in the sequel.

Adding multiplayer to Cyberpunk 2077 was an area of contention for fans, with some wishing you could explore Night City with friends whilst others argued it should remain a single-player experience.

Of course, it has not yet been confirmed that it will feature in the sequel but it is safe to say that it is looking pretty likely.

Nevertheless, we will find out over the next few years as Cyberpunk 2 hits full development.
