Cyberpunk 2077 fans are getting ready to experience the game in a totally different way when the Nintendo Switch 2 version drops later this year.

It’s honestly unbelievable to think Cyberpunk 2077 will soon be playable on a Nintendo console, but it’s real and it’s happening very soon.

Check out the Nintendo Switch 2 trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 below.

To be fair, it’s not the first CD Projekt RED title to be playable on a Nintendo Switch, as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got a decent enough port back in 2019.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a different animal though, so it makes sense why it’ll only launch on the more powerful Nintendo Switch 2.

It’s an exciting time, and fans are eager to jump back into Night City either through a continued playthrough or a brand-new one.

“I don't need to quadruple dip. But I know I will,” read a comment on a post about the port, with another adding, “Crowd density and image quality looks pretty good. Can’t wait to finally play the DLC.”

The official account also confirmed that there will be cross-progression, meaning you can connect it to your PC, Xbox or PlayStation version of the game and pick up right where you left off, or start a new file; it’s up to you.

If you’re wondering what exactly this port offers, there isn’t much that's new as you could already play the game portably through Valve’s Steam Deck if you wanted.

Nothing else is really different, you just get the novelty of playing it on a Nintendo console, and if you’ve only ever used Nintendo consoles, you’ll be able to play the game for the first time.

Cyberpunk 2077 and the Nintendo Switch 2 will launch at the same time on 5 June later this year. Will you be returning to Night City?
