Our favourite characters from the Cyberpunk 2077 universe are set to head to a brand-new location and it is one that not many of us would have expected.

Since Cyberpunk 2077 was launched back in 2020, it has gone on to inspire media in untold ways, even though it was definitely not our first introduction to the genre.

Check out the trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners below!

One such inspiration it led to was the arrival of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an anime series which aired on Netflix back in 2022.

Although set in the same universe as Cyberpunk 2077, it featured a brand-new bunch of characters and despite consisting of only 10 episodes, it is widely regarded as one of the best adaptations of all time.

So it is perhaps no surprise that some of our favourite characters from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be making a cameo in another hit game.

Kuro Games has announced that its open-world RPG Wuthering Waves will be collaborating with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners some time in 2026.

With Wuthering Waves being an anime-centered game, characters such as Lucy, David, Rebecca and co. will fit in perfectly with the aesthetic and although we do not yet have much information about what the collaboration will entail, we do know that “characters from Night City will step into Solaris.”

Not only that, but some fans believe that Solaris may feature a brand-new Night City inspired setting which will make the perfect home for our Edgerunners.

More information is expected to be released soon but until then, you may want to check out Wuthering Waves as its Version 2.3 is expected to go live on 29 April with heaps of new content.

This is not the first time that a gacha game has featured some well-known faces from gaming and television shows.

Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy previously made an appearance in Genshin Impact, for example.

We may have another year to go until Night City and Solaris come together but it appears as though fans are excited for the collaboration nonetheless.
