If there’s one thing that unites all gamers, it’s that we love a freebie. Yes, our backlogs are completely full. No, it’s unlikely that we’ll get round to playing said freebie in the next six months but do we love them anyway? Absolutely.

In case you missed it, Far Cry 6 is free to download and play on consoles and PC this weekend. If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you’ve had a fruitful week. The latest catalogue drop includes standout 2022 hits Horizon Forbidden West and The Quarry, if you’re an extra or premium tier subscriber that is. Speaking of 2022’s very best games, a critically-acclaimed 2022 Marvel title is free to download and play this weekend too, Midnight Suns.

Take a look at Midnight Suns in action below.

As reported by PC Gamer, Midnight Suns is currently free to play on Steam. Note that it’s free to play this weekend alone so if you do opt to give the game a whirl, your access will cut off on Sunday at 10AM PT / 6PM GMT. The good news is though, if you do enjoy the free access period, the game is currently 40% off on Steam.

Midnight Suns didn’t really get the hype it deserved when it released last year but here at GAMINGbible, we thought it was the year’s best superhero title. In our review, Ewan wrote, “Marvel’s Midnight Suns proves that when the right developer is given the keys to the Marvel toy box, something very special can happen. Like Insomniac Games and Eidos-Montréal before them, Firaxis have been unafraid to put their own stamp on a beloved universe, taking gameplay elements it’s already known and loved for and giving it a Marvel makeover that just works.”

Created by Firaxis Games, Midnight Suns is an XCOM-like tactical RPG/card strategy game. The free access period has already begun so don’t hesitate to dive in if you’re interested.
