Call Of Duty Fans Furious With Bizarre 'Attack On Titan' Crossover

Call Of Duty: Warzone is crossing over with Attack On Titan to celebrate its very last season, offering players a bundle inspired by fan-favourite character, Captain Levi Ackerman.

A collaboration with the anime might seem a little strange, yet this is the same game that has introduced John McClane, the Terminator, Rambo, Leatherface and Jigsaw to the chaos of Verdansk, so it's par for the course. The Tracer Pack: Attack on Titan — Levi Edition Bundle will hit the (in-game) shelves after the midseason update for Vanguard and Warzone Pacific that integrated fixes for crashes, balancing, mouse and keyboard controls, and poor performance. That's the poor performance of the game, not your own poor performance. There's a fix for that though, but it will involve forking out for hacks, and you will aggravate Activision a whole lot.

The bundle contains 10 items which Activision is sure will appeal to all for the enviable stopping power that they offer. The Titan Piercer blueprint is a nod to the show and promises to slice through squads like a hot knife through butter. If you're a traditionalist, the Legendary “Historia” SMG and “Ymir Curse” Assault Rifle Weapon also assures the edge in skirmishes. The Legendary “Steel Cut” Finishing Move, Vanguard-exclusive “Vertical Maneuver” Highlight Intro and the “Ultrahard Steel” MVP Highlight are up for grabs, too, as well as a “Secret Keeper” key Weapon Charm, “Wings of Freedom” Emblem and “One Hot Potato” Sticker.

Last but by no means least, Sgt. Daniel of the Hellhounds is getting a “Survey Corps” Operator Skin inspired by Captain Levi Ackerman. Sure, it's not entirely accurate to the period that Warzone Pacific takes place, but I'm positive that no one cares overly. Again, the Tracer Pack: Attack on Titan — Levi Edition Bundle will become available on January 20th.

The midseason update adds Operator Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes with the Wild Rose bundle plus two Legendary Weapon blueprints. For those who have all three members of Trident unlocked and at their max levels are able to unlock a special Gold outfit for these Operators and a Platinum one if they have at least three other Task Forces maxed out to Level 20 to boot.

Predictably, the fans are less than thrilled with this crossover.

"Weirdest collab I’ve seen in my life," wrote one fan on Twitter.

"Vanguard has the worst cosmetics out of any Call of Duty game to ever be created," chimed in a second fan, while another added they believe "Raven and Sledgehammer "should never touch Call Of Duty again". Seems like a calm and measured response.
