2022's inevitable Call Of Duty entry has yet to be officially announced, but all signs point to a sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare reboot.

Multiple reports, leaks, rumours ,and whispers over the last year or so suggest that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II is currently in development at Infinity Ward. This is not to be confused with 2009's Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which was also developed by Infinity Ward.

Seriously, is it that hard to pick a slightly different name for the new one? The Roman numerals don't really help it stand out that much.

Take a look at some of the best Call Of Duty Wins & Fails below!

Notable Battlefield and Call Of Duty leaker Tom Henderson is just one of the trusted voices who has claimed 2022 is the year of Modern Warfare 2. In a new video, he's shared a ton of new details about the upcoming game, including what we can expect from its single-player campaign and a promising-sounding new mode inspired by Escape From Tarkov.

The campaign details echo what we've previously heard, namely that Modern Warfare 2 will be set in Latin America and see players engage in an operation to take down a deadly drug cartel. We've heard it all before, but it sounds like Infinity Ward is aiming to go grittier than ever before with its latest Call Of Duty campaign, in a story that could see characters live or die based on your choices.

Henderson also believes that a remastered multiplayer mode for the 2009 Modern Warfare 2 will launch as part of the upcoming Modern Warfare II. In the same way that 2019's Modern Warfare remastered classic maps and weapons from the original Modern Warfare, we can expect the likes of Rust and Terminal to end up in Modern Warfare II. Confused yet? I am.

Finally, Henderson adds that Infinity Ward is looking to add an mode to the game that's heavily inspired by the popular tactical shooter Escape From Tarkov.

While he stresses that details on this mode are still quite vague, he expects there to be objective-based gameplay that takes place across an entirely new map. He also suggests this new map will be implemented into Call Of Duty: Warzone in some shape or form. Whether that means the Escape From Tarkov mode will be free to play remains to be seen.

As always, take these claims with a pinch of salt for now. And do remember that even if they are accurate at the time of writing, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II is still in development, and things change!
