Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Players Can Access Secret Map, Here’s How

Helpful

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 launched today and despite not performing as well as previous Call Of Duty games there are at least some parts of the game’s design that are pretty cool.

The singleplayer campaign for Black Ops 7 has been heavily roasted by players for completely jumping the shark with psychedelic nightmare scenarios like fighting an enormous Michael Rooker with machine guns and pistols.

Fear is a major theme in the story, with the playable characters each having their mettle tested with a variety of horrifying scenarios, like giant machetes falling from the sky.

Personally as someone who wouldn’t consider themselves a fan of Call Of Duty I think it actually looks pretty fun, but I can see why die-hard fans are disliking the silliness. The multiplayer has also been slated for its advanced movement.

It’s a little early to tell the overall consensus but in more positive news there’s a neat bonus map that can be accessed through Private Lobby, and it’s perfect for streamers and content creators.

CharlieINTEL shared a clip of the map on X, and it’s essentially a giant green-screen dimension.

I don’t think I need to explain how a green-screen works, but in short it means YouTubers can display their own visuals behind gameplay. Whether it be the intro to a video, short-form memes or some other project it’s a helpful addition, though not something the majority of players are going to benefit from.

That said Call Of Duty is a big series when it comes to content-creation, so if you’re thinking of trying your luck or just fancy learning a new skill this custom map is a good way to practise your editing skills.

How is Call Of Duty Black Ops 7 performing?

So far reviews have been pretty mixed from both critics and players. The Steam page isn’t looking too great sitting at a Mixed rating, especially compared to the competition.

While it’s had its own fair share of problems, Battlefield 6 seems to be the better performing game of the two, a surprise to be sure but a welcome one. It is too early to declare a winner though, so we’ll be keeping an eye on the latest player numbers as more people log into the game..

Nevertheless there are clearly a few saving graces for Call Of Duty Black Ops 7, and if all else fails at least we can hop on Zombies, which seems to be the best part of the game so far.
