“This time, you are not going in alone. You have the option to play solo or with up to four players,” is the latest announcement surrounding Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at this years’ Gamescom showcase.
Gamescom 2025 is underway and the show kicked off with some interesting details surrounding the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 later this year.
For the first time in many years, players will be able to tackle a Call of Duty campaign alone or with up to four friends which will not just encourage veteran players of the first-person shooter series but also a way to welcome newbies who may be unfamiliar with the chaotic world.
As many veteran players will know, it has been well over a decade since the Call of Duty franchise last introduced a co-op campaign with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops III so this will make quite a surprise for returning players.

Not only will players be able to tackle the campaign alone or with a group of friends, they will also be able to access global progression for the first time in the series.
Additionally, the campaign will feature an endgame for the first time and it will, unsurprisingly, be known as ‘Endgame’.
We are unsure exactly what this endgame will entail but we can imagine that it will be a whole lot more fun with friends to enjoy it with.
With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 set to launch on 14 November 2025, there is not long until we can finally get our hands on the highly anticipated entry.
