Bloodborne and Resident Evil fans will likely take great interest in this upcoming Steam game, which looks to take the best of both IPs and make something new out of them.
It’s quite an exciting time for both fanbases, as while we’re likely not getting that Bloodborne remaster anytime soon, The Duskbloods for Nintendo Switch 2 looks like an admirable spiritual successor to FromSoftware’s eldritch terror game, even if it is an online multiplayer title…
As for Resident Evil fans, Resident Evil Requiem looks like it’s harkening back to the good old days of the franchise, and I’m personally very excited to see more of it.
In the meantime though take a look at Decadent, a game coming to Steam in the near future that looks just as horrific as the aforementioned titles.

The game’s description reads: “Decadent is a story-driven FPS combining atmospheric exploration, horror and combat into an immersive experience. Become John Lorn, a Great War veteran turned decadent occultist on a quest to save your lost son and uncover an ancient secret; challenging not only your skills, but your very humanity.”
The gameplay looks pretty solid, with first-person shooting in a demonic woodland area filled with ghouls and monsters.
Environments look varied and aside from the combat it seems like there’ll be a few mysteries to solve along the way, which will hopefully make for an engaging experience.
Unfortunately there are no demos for you to play at the moment but if you add the game to your wishlist one will hopefully be added nearer to the game’s release.

Decadent definitely looks like a game for the Bloodborne and Resident Evil fans, but if it doesn’t look like your cup of tea there’s no harm in sticking to the gaming franchises that do horror best.
