How are we feeling, Marvel fans? There was quite literally three years worth of news announced this weekend so naturally, it’s going to take us a fair bit of time to take everything in. Marvel took to Hall H of San Diego Comic Con to announce that phases four, five and six of the MCU will officially make up The Multiverse Saga.
As I’m sure you’re aware, we’re in the midst of phase four right now and this will officially conclude with the highly anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which is set to be released on 11 November, 2022. The cast and creatives paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman and debuted the film’s first trailer, yet one insider is now teasing that another Black Panther project is on the horizon.
Take a look at the epic new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever below.
According to one industry insider, a Black Panther video game is in development. Gaming reporter Jeff Grubb took to Twitter to tease the news. He wrote: “Wakanda Forever trailer is great. Let’s talk about the Black Panther game live tomorrow on Game Mess Mornings.” At the time of writing, Grubb is yet to provide further details on the project but he has proven to be a reputable source in the past.
Previously, Grubb correctly leaked the title of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and teased the imminent announcement of The Last of Us Part 1 on several occasions. Black Panther is yet to appear in a solo game, but the character did make an appearance in Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers. In the game, the character was voiced by God of War Kratos actor Christopher Judge.

Grubb hasn’t revealed who might develop the game, but it’s something we’ll be keeping an eye on as he teases more. As always, this has to be taken with a pinch of salt until anything is officially announced.
