Battlefield 6’s run as gaming’s worst kept secret is continuing with the massive leak of the upcoming game's new battle royale mode and map.
It seems the new shooter from DICE will not only feature a robust new campaign and multiplayer maps, but Battlefield 6 will also boast a battle royale, and a dataminer has revealed the entire map.
Reported on Insider Gaming, it’s reported that dataminer temporyal has been scouring game data and pieced together the entire map, likely to be called Lyndon Beach.
The image from temporyal shows POIs, and even a metro system running beneath the ground, and the leaker notes that the game mode is currently named ‘Battlefield Royale.”

According to the leak, it seems the map has nine major POIs to explore, with names like Lighthouse, Gold Resort, and Fort Lyndon.
There will also be another 27 smaller POIs dotted around the map.
Other leaks and rumours point to the battle royale not releasing alongside the main game, and will launch some time after.
It’s noted that it will, as others are, be free-to-play, and this will be EA Games’ big move on the genre to compete with Call of Duty Warzone.

Of course, there has been no official confirmation from either EA Games or DICE, but there is a multiplayer event for Battlefield 6 coming on 31 July, which may contain a formal announcement.
There are many questions being asked; do we really need another battle royale when the genre is slowly fading? How many players will this version cater for? And will it be heavily monetised?
For now, there are no answers to that question, but if you find yourself excited that this game mode is on the horizon, it’s well worth looking over the leaked details to see where you’ll be dropping on launch day.
