Earlier this week saw Battlefield 6 launch its Season One content update alongside a brand-new battle royale mode dubbed REDSEC.
However, it seems as though Electronic Arts is already in the firing line regarding the in-game battle pass that came alongside the brand-new season.
In the past decade alone, a major multiplayer FPS release is never complete with a battle pass which allows players to earn rewards by simply playing the game, taking on challenges or spending real currency to get those rewards even faster.
In most cases, paying for the battle pass must be completed first just in order to “unlock” it so it is a major investment for the majority of players.

Battlefield 6 is no exception with players able to purchase the battle pass for the brand-new season which will allow them to unlock new weapons, cosmetics, and more.

The standard battle pass offers over 100 tiers of both free and premium rewards with additional tiers being added throughout the season.
Additionally, alongside the standard and Premium battle pass, players are also able to unlock Battlefield Pro.

This unlocks the entire battle pass as well as granting full access to Premium rewards, Pro-only tier items, 25 tier skips, and a 15% battle pass progression boost.
It even includes a dedicated radio station and is available at $24.99/£21.99.
It was this booster that Reddit user nyanch purchased but after noticing that they had not been rewarded the battle pass progression, they quickly reached out to EA for an explanation.
“I got the boosters (Hardware/Career) around the first or second day of playing, but I still don't have the Battle Pass since season launch,” they explained over on Reddit's r/Battlefield 6 subreddit.

In a apparently email sent in reply to nyanch’s concerns, the exchange shows EA claiming that it would offer compensation.
“Anyone impacted by this issue should now have rewards in their inbox, impacted players got:
- 12 Hardware
- 12 Career 60-Minute Boosters
- Full access to Season 1 Battle Pass.”
No compensation?
However, the Reddit user claimed that this compensation has not been rewarded and despite messaging EA multiple times, the same email is sent in a reply with no follow-up.

It also seems as though this is not a one-off issue as multiple Battlefield 6 players in the comments also share that they have run into the same problem and it seems as though the issue has still not been officially addressed by EA itself.
It remains to be seen if this is an internal issue that will soon be fixed but with no comment from EA, it is difficult to know what happens next for those affected.
GAMINGbible approached EA for comment on the matter.
