Baldur's Gate 3 player discovers new secret location after 400 hours

Baldur's Gate 3 player discovers new secret location after 400 hours

One Baldur's Gate 3 player has discovered a new secret location after 400 hours of playing.

With Larian Studio’s Baldur’s Gate 3 featuring an extensive amount of gameplay, it is no surprise that there are hundreds of details hidden within. Now three months on from launch, one player has discovered a new secret location after 400 hours of gameplay.

The Dungeons & Dragons inspired Baldur’s Gate 3 has been one of 2023’s most successful titles with the game recently picking up eight nominations at The Game Awards. With the sheer amount of content available, it is no surprise that players are spending hours in Act 1 alone despite the game being split into three parts.

Now courtesy of one player who shared the news on Reddit, there may be one location that quite a few people are yet to stumble across. Located in the Act 1 area, the Harper’s stash can be found near the Nautiloid Ship. However, it features quite the trek to get there, including scaling a nearby mountain.

“This area has such good loot! How did I miss it before this!? The Guidance amulet is worth it alone, a free D4 on skill checks is super helpful. The amount of stuff I still apparently have to explore after two full playthroughs and half a dozen that’ve made it to Act 2 is amazing,” the player posted.

Although some comments include players asking how this area could have been missed when it is in such an obvious spot, it appears most people did in fact miss it. “I genuinely thought it was just…not a part of the map? Like how some parts of the Hag Swamp in the water are inaccessible”, read one comment. Another shared their obsession with uncovering all of the map, “This is a thing I just personally can’t understand. I need to scour every inch of the map and uncover every bit of map fog. At least on first playthroughs, it becomes an obsession.”

With Baldur’s Gate 3 set to sweep the board at The Game Awards on 7 December, it is an exciting time for Larian Studios who are still regularly bringing updates to its latest title.
