Ubisoft just dropped a pretty hefty 10GB patch for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on all platforms… and people aren’t happy about that.

Title update version 1.0.3 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is here on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Steam and Mac, but it would seem that the changes aren’t up to scratch for the majority of players.

That’s probably due to the fact that the latest patch actually removes a feature, rather than actually adding anything new to the game.

As stated in the patch notes: “We have temporarily deactivated the multi-sell feature in shops due to some unexpected issues. We appreciate your patience as we are working to fix the issue and bring the feature back in an upcoming patch.”

Unsurprisingly, folks over on the r/AssassinsCreedShadows subreddit aren’t too happy about this.

You can take a look at Assassin's Creed Shadows in action below.

“Dang was hoping they included the inventory bug since they removed it from the last patch, but it probably is coming soon,” commented user IndecisiveSuperman.

“So still no fix for the 30fps lock during cutscenes on PC,” replied user solidmonki.

“This issue ruins the game for me, and have had to use a mod to fix it.”

As that last comment states, although the patch promises that it “fixed stuttering issues on PC” and also “fixed a crash happening during the prologue”, it seems the PC/Steam version of the game still has its fair share of technical issues.

As Dark Side of Gaming's John Papadopoulos states in his technical analysis of the patch on PC, “Sadly, I don’t see any major performance tweaks or optimisations.”

“So, no. Don’t expect the game to run better with this patch. From what I can see, this is a small update and not a major one.”

Here’s hoping there’s another patch on the way soon, so the PC version of the game can catch up with the performance on consoles.
