Assassin's Creed Shadows free download available for next 48 hours

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has finally arrived and to celebrate, Ubisoft is giving fans the chance to get their hands on some exclusive in-game items.

After multiple delays and a whole lot of controversy, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has finally been released worldwide and marks the 14th major instalment in the Ubisoft RPG series.

Taking players to feudal Japan, they will take on the role of shinobi Naoe and samurai Yasuke as they fight against the Templar Order.

Our very own Ewan Moore gave the newest Assassin’s Creed title a 9/10.

Now to celebrate the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players can get their hands on some in-game items courtesy of Twitch.

By heading over to a participating content creator’s channel (as they are streaming the game, of course) you can simply watch to earn yourself some rewards.

Watching for one hour will see you earn the Spirit Headband for Naoe, two hours equals a Spirit Kosode and finally, four hours will see you earn the Oath Tanto drop.

To redeem the items once you have earned them, simply connect your Twitch account to your Ubisoft account and enter the code for your chosen platform.

The drops run from 18-25 March so you have just a few days left to grab them before they are gone for good.

Other than that, it is time to head to feudal Japan and take down some Templars.
