Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced players are banding together to save a stranded dog found on one of the in-game islands. Ubisoft, please listen.
Those who try to blitz their way through the main story of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag with little to no exploration are doing themselves a disservice.
Part of the fun is setting sail with the Jackdaw and docking at some of the deserted islands littered throughout the map.
Recently, one player by the name of Ordinary-Republic-38 on Reddit found an island with a random abandoned dog wandering alone on the beach, and it’s seriously tugging at our heartstrings.
“UBISOFT LET ME RESCUE THIS GOOD BOY” exclaimed Ordinary-Republic-38, “everyone is dead on this tiny island except the dog let me take the dog.”

The player shared the island’s map coordinates so others could visit the dog as well. It’s found at 624,50.
This simple act has kicked off a full-on campaign to make the dog part of Edward’s crew on the Jackdaw.
Players are asking Ubisoft for the ability to save this stranded dog in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. He looks so lonely!

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced adds loads of new customisation options for Edward’s ship, and one of the cutest is pets. At the time of writing, the only species you can have with you at the helm are cats and monkeys, and you can claim a free monkey through a special code giveaway.
They’re a neat addition despite being purely cosmetic, though we’re a little bit confused. Surely the quintessential pirate pet is a parrot? Where are the parrots, Ubisoft?
Dogs aren’t currently allowed onboard, but given the outcry from fans regarding this stray pooch, perhaps that’s something Ubisoft will be forced to change.
“@Ubisoft cmon you know having a pup as a pet would be so cool. Just have him asleep in the captains cabin if you cant give him a spot top-side” said L1Screen.
“I'd have this dog over the monkeys honestly” added DaniHay5.

Others suggested that if we can’t take the dog onto the ship with us, we could at least keep him at Great Inagua. For those that don’t know, that’s the civilisation you can build once you’ve progressed far enough through the story.
It might seem like a pipedream, but with enough traction, Ubisoft could definitely make this change happen.
The studio has been interacting with its players extensively since the game came out, as a number of treasure hunts are planned, leading to beloved costumes and cosmetics. One of which was even discovered by accident before Ubisoft could kick off its initial hunt.
Chances are, Ubisoft plans to expand the Jackdaw’s potential residents anyway, as cats and monkeys being the only options is still a tad strange in our opinion (seriously, Ubisoft, give us some parrots).
For now, be sure to visit the island located at 624,50 if you want to visit the lonely pooch, and pray Ubisoft is kind enough to let us keep it.
