At long last, Sega has revealed an early first look at the much-awaited Alien: Isolation 2.
Alien: Isolation 2 was announced around 18 months ago, and hasn’t received much in the way of updates from Sega until now.
For Alien Day, which falls on 26 April each year, Sega has finally revealed a first look at the follow-up to the 2014 horror masterpiece through a short teaser.
The video, which has been uploaded to YouTube and other social media platforms, is only 25 seconds long and doesn’t tease much. However, there’s still some information that we gleam from this.

Titled “False Sense Of Security”, the video starts with an image of a locked sliding panel door in a dark room, an image seen all throughout the original Alien: Isolation game.
Check it out below.
In the video, the door is marked with a red light, indicating it’s locked, before changing to green once it’s unlocked.
The door then opens to reveal a larger area, which is also apparently outdoors in the rain, with the game’s iconic save telephone booth also seen in the distance. The video ends with a close-up of the save station before cutting to black.
No other details can be seen in this teaser, but it does reveal a few interesting tidbits of information.
For starters, it confirms that some of the most iconic set design and imagery from the original Alien, as well as the first game, is set to return.
It also seemingly teases that we’re not going to be purely stuck on a space station this time around, and may be fighting aliens on a planet’s surface somewhere.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much more than that to go off. We don’t get a Xenomorph teaser, nor are there any hints about plot or characters that will be featured in the sequel. We don’t even know if it’ll focus on Amanda Ripley this time, or whether a new protagonist will be introduced.
For the time being, we’ll take this as an indication that Sega may be ready to reveal more information about Alien: Isolation 2 in the future.

The original game, which was released in 2014, acted as its own sequel to the 1979 film directed by Ridley Scott.
In it, you played as Amanda Ripley who embarks on a mission to investigate the disappearance of her mother, and becomes stuck on a space station that has been plunged into chaos following the appearance of a deadly alien creature.
Alien: Isolation received several DLC chapters following its launch, including two standalone levels which adapted key moments from the original Alien film.
Its sequel will likely continue some plot threads which were first established in the original game, and will also possibly bridge the gap between Alien and Aliens. It may also reference plot threads from 2024’s Alien: Romulus, which is also set around the same time.
