Happy Halloween everyone, one of the best horror games ever made is getting a sequel, bring on Alien Isolation 2.

I’m sure Alien fans will be more than familiar with Alien: Isolation, as it’s not on the best video game in that franchise, it’s also one of the best horror games ever made.

Take a look at the trailer for the game below

Players were haunted by the overwhelming presence of the xenomorph in the first game, and now we’ll be reliving the terror in the second.

In a recent post on X the Alien: Isolation team shared a message from the game’s director to celebrate the horror title’s 10th anniversary, confirming that another game is indeed in development.

Unfortunately no other details on the sequel were shared, but it the fact it’s in development is more than enough for most people.

If we had to guess though making a sequel to Alien: Isolation is as easy as adding more aliens right?

There were of course quite a few to contend with in the first game especially towards the end, so adding a few more won't hurt anyone, except the player obviously.

As for who'll be protagonist and where the game will be set that's a mystery we simply can't solve, as the Alien universe is a very big place so who knows where we'll end up next, and who as.

Ultimately though I think we can all agree that the next game needs to not lose sight of what made the original so compelling in the first place, the stealth.

The xenomorphs are designed to hunt and kill, and while Aliens is a quality film and a great sequel it's always better when the humans can't fight back.

Alien: Isolation understand this and forced the player to be smart with movement, hiding places and even when to save your game, as the smallest slip-up would send a 160kg death machine barrelling towards you, fangs out.

If the next game keeps the focus on intelligent players and an ever-adapting AI, it'll be the sequel we've been dreaming of for years now.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play Alien: Isolation again, it's the perfect time of year for a revisit after all.
