Fair play if you’re into Bungie’s Marathon revival, but my nervous system can’t take the high-adrenaline spikes. I need to slow down, a warm drink by my side going cold, a weighted blanket on my lap.
It’s March, so the start of Spring is here, and these gems are being overshadowed by the bigger releases coming out this month. Marathon, Crimson Desert, Resident Evil Requiem, just to name a few. Not on my watch! These 11 games are vibey, low-stakes sanctuaries designed to lower your heart rate. The weighted blankets of the gaming world, if you will. There’s something in here for everyone, from puzzle games, city builders and, of course, a farm sim or two. What’s a cosy list without at least one farm sim?
The Wide Open Sky is Running out of Catfish

Starting off with one that’s been on my wishlist for a while now, The Wide Open Sky is Running out of Catfish.
This is a story-driven photography game which explores themes of friendship and the impermanence of time and place. It’s a fever dream, in the best way possible. You revive the environment after your mum vanished, equipped with a magic flute and the support of your computer friends. It’s up to you to bring abundance back to an empty sky… all on the back of a giant flying catfish!

The Artisan of Glimmith
Release Date: March 17, 2026 Genre: Stained Glass Puzzle

In The Artisan of Glimmith, you are tasked with restoring the windows of a kingdom above the clouds. Unlike traditional jigsaw puzzles, this requires a keen eye for color theory and light refraction. As you piece together these intricate works of art, the sun moves across the sky in real-time, casting colorful shadows across your digital workshop. Best of all - it’s got a demo you can try out for free, right now! Thank me later, you’ll lose hours to this gem.

Bubblegum Galaxy
Release Date: March 12, 2026 Genre: Narrative City Builder

Bubblegum Galaxy is a sugary-sweet narrative building game about rebuilding the galaxy tile by tile. Imagine a galaxy was accidentally deleted, and it’s your job as a cosmic intern to rebuild it, using tiles that look like candy. Discover and design new planets, complete missions, explore your office and befriend your co-workers.
The "puzzle" of fitting tiles together is just challenging enough to keep you engaged without ever crossing the line into frustration.

Mistpaw Ravine
Release Date: March 4, 2026 Genre: Feline City Builder

I’m sensing a theme in this list of cat games. Now, I have three cats, so you can bet this is right up my street. You are building a sanctuary for the feline survivors of a magical apocalypse after all the witches of the world disappeared, with very cute, bouncy graphics. Made by a single dev, Jon Nielsen, Mistpaw Ravine is one that’s well worth picking up. You’ll manage resources, research new scratching post technologies, and, most importantly, keep the litter boxes clean. Apparently I haven’t had enough of that IRL.
The best part? The developer has explicitly stated that cats cannot die in this game. They might get a bit grumpy if you forget to feed them, but that’s as stressful as it gets. Nintendogs rules.

Japanese Rural Life Adventure
Release Date: March 3, 2026 Genre: Farm/Life Sim

Two months ago, I was on a Japan interrail trip, and I miss it more every single day. This farming sim is perfect for me! After a successful mobile release, this pixel-art masterpiece has finally landed on PC. Japanese Rural Life Adventure is a relaxing slow-life simulation where you can experience the charm of traditional Japanese countryside living, all in a beautifully crafted pixel-art world.
You’ll fix up an old minka, plant crops according to the seasons, and participate in local festivals. The quiet rituals of daily life take center stage - sweeping the porch, watching the koi in the pond, and becoming a part of a small community. The attention to cultural detail is stunning, from the specific foods you cook to the way the landscape changes with the March thaw.

Mewseum: Film Festival
Release Date: March 12, 2026 Genre: Art Puzzle

I’m a real movie-lover, as well as a cat-lover. If you like logic puzzles and puns, Mewseum: Film Festival is your specific brand of catnip. This is a "Shikaku" style puzzle game, where you can unlock cat-themed famous movie posters in a charming feline universe.
You are organizing a gala for a museum where all the world’s greatest films have been re-imagined" with cats.
Think The Great Catsby or Jurassic Purrld.

Puppy Park
Release Date: March 9, 2026 Genre: Digital Pet

If you’re craving Nintendogs, this game is for you. Puppy Park lets you run your very own… Puppy Park! It’s a tiny dog hotel for pups of every breed and personality, designed to be played daily in bite-sized chunks. I have to say, I adore the art style of this one. The Golden Retriever shaking off water made me so angry it was so cute. The more you play and feed them, the more you grow your reputation, and you can fill your hotel with wagging tails and happy barks!

Cat Familiar Center
Release Date: March 13, 2026 Genre: Magical Cat-Raising

I’m sorry, it’s another cat game. I didn’t mean for this to happen, there’s just a theme this month.
As a witch running a specialized adoption center, your job in Cat Familiar Center is to breed and train magical cats for specific clients. Using a genetics system, you’ll combine traits to create cats with wings, halos, or glowing fur. You’ll then match these familiars with dragons, elves, and fellow witches based on their personalities. The real-time summoning mechanics mean you can check in throughout the day, making it the perfect low-maintenance companion game for a busy March.

Mimikaki Collect
Release Date: March 19, 2026 Genre: Simulation
It’s a little gross, but oh so satisfying. In Mimikaki Collect, you operate an ear pick to clear ear debris from inside an ear. Based on the traditional Japanese art of ear cleaning, this game strips away the "gross-out" factor of medical sims and replaces it with pure, unadulterated ASMR bliss, if you’re into that type of thing. There are various types of debris, and removing them earns you money. Use your earnings to purchase new ear-cleaning tools and furniture. Decorate your own unique room with the furniture you acquire.

Forage & Brew
Release Date: March 2026 Genre: Shop/Potionmaker Sim

Rounding out our list is Forage & Brew, one that’s been on my wishlist for a while. You play as a cat witch (sorry, sorry) where you forage for ingredients in a forest that changes based on the lunar cycle and weather. Best of all, it's free! You’ll need a controller for this one, however.
