What to expect from the Mario Kart World launch

If you’ve been wondering how Nintendo will top Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, then listen up. For the first time ever, up to 24 players can race at the same time, a huge departure from the original 12-player limit.

There’s sure to be more competition too, as the tracks are even bigger than ever before to fit into Free Roam mode, which allows players to race without time limits or lap counters. Our rave review of the game reads: “If Nintendo has been able to create a brand-new Mario Kart game with infinitely more chaotic gameplay, bigger, better tracks, and a genuine world to explore on top of all the usual joys of kart racing, the Nintendo Switch 2 could well be kicking off with an all-timer.”
