Steam free RPG is Final Fantasy meets Stranger Things

If you love Final Fantasy and Stranger Things, you'll love this free Steam download

There's this one video game I've had my eye on ever since I saw a trailer for it on Twitter about a year ago. So you can imagine my delight when I was recently looking through Steam for work and discovered that same game.

If you're the kind of person that loves the team-based RPG bonding of games like Final Fantasy, this could be the game for you. If you love the nostalgic, paranormal mystery of Stranger Things, this may be for you. If you like both of those things, this is definitely the game for you.

"Bloomtown: A Different Story is a narrative JRPG mixing turn-based combat, monster taming and social RPG set in a seemingly pleasant 1960s Americana world," reads the game's Steam description. "Join Emily and her group of friends to save their cozy town from the demonic creatures that live in the hearts of its residents!"

Yep, Bloomtown looks to be so entirely My Cup Of Tea it isn't even funny. Gorgeous SNES-style pixel art, a creepy demonic presence in a small town, and colourful turn-based combat. I'm so in. I'm honestly so damn in you don't even know how in I am.

Bloomtown is scheduled to release later this year, but for now you can download and play a free demo to get a taste of the adventure. I recommend you do. I've already devoured it and will probably play it through a few more times over the weekend. Honestly, this game cannot come soon enough. Did I mention how in I am?

Oh and if you like the look of Bloomtown, maybe you should go and play Earthbound. I'm sure most of the people reading this have probably heard of the classic Nintendo RPG, of course, but I can never miss a chance to try and get folk to play Earthbound.
