Magic the Gathering: Outlaws of Thunder Junction - Card preview

We have an exclusive card to show you

If you’re a fan of Magic the Gathering you probably know that the latest expansion, Outlaws of Thunder Junction is coming very soon, on 14 April. The new set will take us on a journey through a Wild West-inspired land filled with outlaws and bandits.

Outlaws of Thunder Junction caps off the Omenpath story arc which sees more people being able to travel between Planes, rather than just the Planeswalkers. The set will feature villains from across the multiverse and will feature some old faces returning to the game.

If you want to play Magic the Gathering without getting friends together, Arena is the perfect way to play

We’re happy to be able to bring you a sneak peek at an upcoming card that you won’t get to see anywhere else. The card is called ‘Molten Duplication’ and it’s a sorcery card. As you can see from the description this card will allow you to duplicate a creature or an artifact until the beginning of the next end step.

This will be a great card for clutching a duplicate of an opponent creature for a saving block, or you can dupe your own creature to add another attack on your turn. With lovely art from Justyna Dura, you can see the three variants available to collect and add to your deck.

When Outlaws of Thunder Junction is released you will be able to buy the usual Play boosters and Collector boosters, along with four Commander decks of 100 cards each. On top of these there will also be a pre-release box featuring boosters and a D20, along with the Bundle box featuring 10 Full-Art land cards, nine Play booster packs and a D20. You can preorder any of these products now.

Pre-release events begin 12 April and run for one week. If you want to play with the cards early you can do so in MtG Arena, where the full set will be available to use on 16 April.
