The Witcher 3 has a hidden area that you can't find on the map

There are still some secrets to find in this award-winning RPG

Despite being almost 10-years old, it would appear that The Witcher 3 still has a few secrets hiding across its expansive map.

Released back in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has solidified itself as one of the greatest RPG experiences of all time. The CD Projekt Red title has not only led to a Netflix adaptation but also welcomes its next entry in the next few years.

As with any open-world RPG, you can expect the world to be full of secrets and Easter eggs and The Witcher 3 is no exception. Even to this day, fans are still coming across hidden features and today’s discovery is another hidden gem.

Discovered by Rolf_Dom over on r/witcher in response to a post that asks “What places/secret areas should I visit that aren't marked on the map?” They replied: “Kaer Morhen has two things not everybody finds.

You can find a completed Mastercrafted Wolven torso armor after reading a book on top of a chest in the room behind the keep's kitchen. Then you take it to the mines where you can fight a Golem, then you can use the book on the altar and open up a secret area with another fight and there's the armor.”

I don’t know about you but this is quite the find, especially considering it features multiple stages that can be easily missed. Additionally, the armour in question is quite a stylish set for our Geralt of Rivia and it being fully mastercrafted means it will boast some impressive stats.

The Reddit thread goes on to mention some exciting hidden map encounters such as areas with strange weather events and even a grave belonging to an old friend.

With The Witcher 3 not far from its 10th anniversary, it remains to be seen what else can be discovered.
