A new game coming out next month looks like the perfect mix of GTA and Uncharted, and we can’t wait.
With GTA 6 still just under 11 months away, we’re all eagerly awaiting the next big adventure from Rockstar Games. In the meantime, we may have to look to other, similar titles.
It doesn’t feel like we get too many games like GTA these days, but when ones do crop up, they end up being pretty interesting.
The Mafia games are such an example of this. They tend to release a little more regularly than GTA, and they ultimately feel a lot different than Rockstar’s games, but they can be just as fun.

Next month, 2K will be releasing Mafia: The Old Country on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. It’s the long-awaited prequel to the Mafia series, taking the story back to the 1900s.
Mafia: The Old Country is set in Sicily in the 1900s, and charts the origins of the Sicilian Mafia. It follows Enzo Favara on a rags to riches journey as he joins the Torrisi crime family and works his way up the ranks.
If we’re not counting Mafia: Definitive Edition which was a remake of the first game, The Old Country will be the first mainline game in the series since Mafia 3 in 2016.
Some new footage released exclusively by IGN showcases some gameplay for The Old Country, including the driving, stealth, and action. We also get a closer look at some of the characters and the beautiful Sicilian countryside.

From what we’ve seen so far, it’s looking like the GTA: The Godfather game of my dreams, as did all the previous Mafia games.
