Fans of the Terrifier films now have a choice to talk to Art the Clown himself. Given that he’s a mime, it’s going to be a very one-sided conversation though.

As reported by Bloody Disgusting over on Twitter, a telephone number has been released that allows you to chat with the demonic clown himself.

For more Halloween horrors this spooky season, you need to play the remake of Silent Hill 2

The number, should you find yourself wanting to chat with the horrific serial killer, is US-based and fans have already started calling it and reporting back.

According to those who managed to get through, the line is filled with silence until, suddenly, Art begins honking his toy horn into the handset.

Though judging from Twitter replies, not many even heard that as they chickened out.

“Was I supposed to leave a message? I got nervous and hung up…” said one user.

Then there are some who are seeing a lot of fun in the latest promotional adventure for the Christmas-based sequel, Terrifier 3.

“I’m not giving him my number. Nice try!” said Fan4me after spotting the phone number.

I’m going to have to try this for myself. I’ve never found his horn honking that scary, but perhaps if I call late at night I’ll get the scare I desire.

This is the latest attempt to drag people into cinemas to watch Art mutilate and butcher his victims. The film only needed a little help as tickets are outselling the other clown in cinemas, The Joker.

While I believe Terrifier 3 is the weakest of the three films, and two shorts (there’s a game coming too), it is Art the Clown at his most gruesome and gory.

You will need a strong stomach for a couple of the kills as they push the boundaries of what’s acceptable in horror.

And now Art the Clown can take his rightful place as horror royalty, because even Freddy Krueger got a telephone number at the height of his popularity.
