Star Wars' Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan reunite in new Prequel

Nice to see them together again

Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn have been reunited in a new prequel, before everything went wrong.

The Star Wars galaxy would have turned out very different if Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi had both survived the events of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Unfortunately, Qui-Gon was struck down by Darth Maul, and the worst part is that Maul managed to survive all the way to the rise of The Empire.

If Qui-Gon had survived the Duel Of The Fates, things would have turned out very differently, as he’d have either trained Anakin to be a better Jedi or figured out Palpatine was the Sith Lord the Jedi were searching for.

While you can’t change the past, you can explore it further as a new prequel comic will reunite Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan on a mission to save Bail Organa.

The story is featured in the Star Wars: Jedi Knights series which tells several tales from the Jedi Order and features some truly beloved characters.

Star Wars: Jedi Knights #3’s description reads: "Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi battle giant monsters! All splash pages! All action! The most unusual Jedi Knights tale ever told! Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan defy death in an epic attempt to save the life of Senator Bail Organa on a planet full of skyscraper-sized monsters!”

Words can’t describe how wholesome it is to see Obi-Wan as a padawan again, especially under the tutelage of his former master.

The pair, of course, reunited in live-action at the end of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and if it ever gets a second season, it’d be great to see their relationship explored even further.

For now though, fans can enjoy their reunion in Star Wars: Jedi Knights #3, which is available for purchase right now.
