Star Wars fans divided over Henry Cavill’s teased debut

Star Wars fans are divided over the potential casting of Superman star, Henry Cavill.

Henry Cavill is one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood, winning millions of fans with his geeky but manly charm. Starring in the likes of Man of Steel as Superman, Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix series The Witcher and even cameoed in Deadpool & Wolverine, Cavill has become a household name over the years.

The popular actor is also an avid tabletop gamer, especially when it comes to Warhammer 40,000. So it should come as no surprise that Henry Cavill is probably a big fan of the 2024 video game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

In our review of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, we said: “The idea of galactic battles being fought by grunts has been realised with superb levels of detail. It’s not quite the game I hoped would tide me over until the next Gears of War, but it did enough to keep this Warhammer nerd very happy.”

Speaking of Warhammer 40,000, Henry Cavill is working with Games Workshop to help produce (and star) in movies and a TV series inspired by its tabletop goodness on behalf of Amazon.

Not content with what he already has in the works, rumours are making the rounds that Henry Cavill might land a role in the world of Star Wars.

“He'll end up being a one-use throw-away character. Good for him for cashing that check though,” said pessimistic Redditor, BildoBlack.

“A young Baylan Skoll, perhaps?” suggested panda_hat.

“Cavill as a travelling badass Jedi? Ok, please do this,” replied MakaButterfly.

“He'd make a good Dash Rendar,” said TylerBourbon.

Only time will tell whether or not Henry Cavill will land a role in Star Wars. Personally, I do love the idea of him playing a young Baylan Skoll. We’ll keep you posted if we hear further developments on this story.
