Star Wars were thrilled when the Kenobi season finale finally gave us the reunion of Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker, though fans wish it happened in a slightly better show instead.

The Star Wars Kenobi show wasn’t great, but it certainly had its moments and arguably gave us some of the coolest Darth Vader scenes we’ve ever seen, comparable to Rogue One’s ending slaughter.

Take a look at the trailer for Kenobi below

It also gave us an emotional reunion, as Obi-Wan came face to face with his former pupil, seeing what The Empire and the Dark Side had done to him.

It’s the best part of the show, though fans are still divided on the show overall as seen in a recent Reddit thread.

The thread by killawankenobi praised the finale scene, saying “All I remember seeing is complaint after complaint. I’m not saying Kenobi was perfect by any means, but to give us Ewan and Hayden together again….that's something we should thank the maker for every day!”

Fans weren’t so sure though, with one saying the show would have gotten “more praise if it was a well-written show.”

Another questioned why we should care about Kenobi at all, saying “I don't understand this sentiment; we should praise it simply because...it happened? Shouldn't we judge it based on the merits/quality of the show?”

Finally one fan hit the nail on the head and said: “My problem with most of the Star Wars television and mini series has been how uneven the quality is each season. The first season of The Mandalorian and Andor being the exceptions. I think some of these series would have been better off as 2 hour movies - Kenobi in particular.”

Kenobi certainly could have been better, as only the last two episodes or so are worth a rewatch, but there’s no denying that the Obi-Wan Vs Vader confrontation was done brilliantly.
