Red Dead Redemption fans believe they’ve found the perfect live-action actor to play Arthur Morgan.

While there are not many games that can match the Grand Theft Auto series in terms of being a goliath in the industry, Rockstar Games’ Wild West series has a large and passionate fan base of its own.

It’s unlikely that we’ll get a new Red Dead Redemption game anytime soon, but that won't stop us from dreaming about what we might receive instead, like a live-action adaptation of the popular Rockstar Games franchise, for example.

If we were to ever get a live-action Red Dead Redemption TV series or movie, fans believe that they’ve found the perfect actor to play Arthur Morgan, the lead character of the 2018 prequel.

“I think Hugh Jackman would be a perfect cast for Arthur Morgan. What y'all think?” asked Redditor ashokkumar9t7, sharing an image of the actor as the ageing Wolverine in the 2017 movie Logan.

“Would they not cast the voice and mocap actor of Arthur Morgan?” replied hey-gift-me-da-wae, referring to Roger Clark.

“Hugh Jackman would be too ripped to play Arthur,” claimed bearhunter54321. Though to be fair, Jackman is known for drastically changing his body type to fit roles in movies, so I wouldn't rule out the Aussie actor.

“It's Hollywood, so no, they would not,” replied a Reddit user, throwing water over the flames.

We can only dream of there being a live-action TV series or movie adapted from Red Dead Redemption. However, I just want Rockstar Games to release a new game in the series. After all, it’s been seven years (and counting) since Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The original game in the series is also available on Nintendo Switch.
