It is hard to believe that it has been eight years since fans saw the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie but at long last, we have received news about the next entry in the much-loved series.
First announced back in 2018, Pirates of the Caribbean 6 was expected to be the next entry in the much-loved franchise but was ultimately delayed due to the controversies surrounding its main actor Johnny Depp.
However, as with most things in Hollywood, it has been decided that enough time has passed since his court appearances and so Pirates of the Caribbean 6’s development is back in motion.

As a result, franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer has recently revealed that the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie will feature some familiar faces.
In an attempt to make Pirates of the Caribbean 6 a lot more successful than its predecessor, 2017’s Dead Men Tell No Tales, the cast will consist of both new and old faces.
In a recent interview on This Morning, Orlando Bloom was asked about his potential return to the series as Will Turner who was last seen sailing off into the sunset with Keira Knightley’s Elizabeth Swann back in 2007’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
"Well, I don't know, I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know, but there's definitely availability,” Bloom said (courtesy of Game Rant).

"I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it'd be great to get the band back together.
That would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we'll see where it lands."
Not only that but in an interview with Screen Rant, Bruckheimer has confirmed that “some” previous actors will be back for Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
"Well, not all new actors. We'll have some back... I’m not going to tell you which ones — you'll have to guess,” he said simply.

Well, it remains to be seen who he means but it will be exciting to see the next instalment finally make its way to cinemas after such a long hiatus.
