It's about to go down

It’s been a long time coming, but now, over 40 years later, we’re going to see who walks away the victor when Darth Vader and Palpatine go head-to-head.

Currently, a small group of so-called Star Wars fans are disgruntled by anything that doesn’t perfectly mirror the 80s originals in some way.

As a result, they should be practically vibrating with anticipation at this new release.

Darth Vader and Palpatine are about to fight it out.

We gained the briefest of glances in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, but the battle was short-lived.

Now that Vader's story is coming to an end, the infamous Sith lord intends to use his power to rid the galaxy of someone he hates: Palpatine.

“Darth Vader finally unleashes the unfathomable power he's accumulated through the Schism Imperial against the only person in the galaxy he hates more than he hates himself: Emperor Palpatine!” reads the synopsis.

We already know that Vader isn’t too shabby with his lightsaber – he struck down many a mighty Jedi, including Obi-Wan, but he’ll be using more than that to get Palpatine.

An army of the strongest droids are at his command, meaning Palpatine is in for one rough ride when he faces his old apprentice.

Unfortunately, we know how the story ends before the fight begins, which does tarnish the experience somewhat. Still, we’re about to get a battle for the ages with this showdown. For that reason alone, we don't want to miss it.

The epic conclusion to Vader’s tale will be available to buy from 18 September this year.

As one saga ends, another is desperately screaming out for a continuation, which is why fans are petitioning to get The Acolyte renewed for a second season.

After that finale, we need to know and see more.
