If we can move away from all the Spider-Man 4 discourse for a moment, there’s a surprise character cameo we need to discuss.

Much to the MCU fandom’s surprise, a beloved Spider-Man character will appear in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

This isn’t the first time they’ve appeared in a Spider-Man entry, however, it’s arguably one of the more unexpected appearances.

As detailed on the Cosmic Marvel X account, Klev will show up briefly in the new Disney+ series.

All we’ve seen of the cameo so far is a still from the show in which Klev looks surprised to see Spider-Man.

With the new series due to air on 29 January, we won’t have long to wait to discover what happens to Klev (we assume nothing bad).

Actor Zach Cherry has reprised his role, lending his voice to this latest rendition of the character.

The inclusion of Klev has delighted fans, even the ones not overly keen on what they’ve seen and heard of the new animation thus far.

“Glad to see Marvel is focused on the right details,” commented X user @LordBotha.

Fellow fan @TheCivilSurfer said, “Been loving this bit. They should keep it going.”

Some have even gone as far as suggesting that Klev needs his “own movie”, an idea that’s garnered several likes from the fandom.

Not everyone has welcomed this surprise appearance with open arms, though.

As far as one individual is concerned, Klev was the “worst part” of Shang Chi, referring to that performance as “cringe”.

If you want to wade in on other Spider-Man developments, a recent tease for the next film has divided fans.

Poor Spidey can’t quite catch a break.

With Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man due to air from tomorrow onwards, we’re even more curious to see if any other surprise cameos are featured.
